This year I treated myself to several bookish things that make every day a little cheerier. I wanted to share them with you, a fellow book lover, so you can make your days (or someone else's) a little brighter, too. Why not surround yourself with the things you love? Books! I am an affiliate of Etsy and Amazon. That means if you click a link and make a purchase, I earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Bookish Kindle Sleeve I'm an ebook reader. I know lots of folks would rather hold a physical book, but I love the convenience of ebooks. For years, I read Kindle books on the app on my iPhone. (You can size the text however big or small you prefer.) But I bought myself a Kindle earlier this year in an effort to keep myself from falling down internet rabbit holes at bedtime (when I do most of my reading). If I read on my phone, it's too easy to Google something and wind up watching funny cat videos for half an hour. With a Kindle, all I can do is read. The Case of the Strangled Student
I'm writing a new detective series that I'm publishing on Amazon's Vella platform called The Case of the Strangled Student. Before we get into the technical stuff, some background. Her mom’s stuffed shells were heavenly, of course, but heating them up in the microwave proved to be problematic. Pushing the GO button not only made the microwave whir to life, but also zapped the ancient wiring in the farmhouse, causing the lights to flicker. Another item … [Read more...] about Excerpt from Jingle Bell Justice
